'Love brings up anything unlike itself in order to be healed'. What this means is that when we begin a loving and committed relationship, the love from our partner will push out anything unlike love, such as anger, fear, pain and resentment. Have you noticed that after the so called 'honeymoon period' a relationship often hits a very rocky patch? At the point that it begins to feel uncomfortable, many relationships end and we move on, only to manifest a similar situation later. If instead of blaming and retreating, we could remember that what is happening is actually healing, we might be more inclined to stay with it. Our partners are actually mirroring our deepest wounds. Instead of blaming them we could thank them for showing us something we need to see in order to fully heal ourselves. |
