How do I have an ecstatic birth?

Most of us are exposed in our daily lives to the thought that birth is painful, difficult and that medical intervention and a typical high tech hospital approach is normal and necessary.

I believe an ecstatic birth is available to every woman. The only requirement is a conscious choice and commitment to a process of education, allowing yourself to receive the necessary support and a willingness to examine and question your thoughts and ideas about birth.

Pregnancy and birth involve the whole family, therefore I generally recommend the following in order to experience an ecstatic birth:

  • Mothers and partners working with me for an agreed number of sessions prior to the birth.
  • Ensuring there is a high level of support at your birth. This can be me or someone else who has worked with conscious birthing practices.

What is birth support?

Having someone with you during labour and at the birth of your baby who you know and trust.

Having someone with you who knows that you can do it.

Having someone with you who is listening to you and your baby and supporting you to have an empowered, enlightened and ecstatic birth experience.

I can be with you from the onset of labour until you are comfortable with your baby after the birth. The work that we have together increases your feeling of safety and support, making it easier for you to let go into an ecstatic birth experience for you and your baby.

Birth Attendance:

The cost depends on your specific requirements, location and post partum care. Once I have met you and we know what you would like, I will be happy to work out a cost to suit your individual needs.
